Adventure Riding & Wilderness First Aid Principles

The information below is from 2019. We will be updating information for pre-registration to open in April 2020.

Adventure riding is not without risks. Do you know what to do when good times go bad? Are you prepared for the unexpected?

Spencer & Mike will go over ways to mitigate risks and provide detailed steps to follow in case of an emergency in a remote location. The principles of incident size-up, situational awareness, wilderness first-aid and first-aid kits/supplies will be discussed in detail. The skills and tools learned in this class could save your life or the life of someone you are riding with!

Spenser is the lead tour guide for the adventure touring company, MotoVermont. He travels extensively on his KTM 500 and is certified in Wilderness First Aid.

Mike is a Paramedic with extensive training and experience in wilderness medicine, search and rescue and emergency management. He also enjoys adventure riding around New England on his BMW F800GS.
